Q & A about Color of Water Essay

What's the PURPOSE of the paper? To analyze how the author/speaker demonstrates or supports what you believe the theme of the book is.

How long should the paper be? See the assignment handout. There is NO specific word limit or page requirement

How do I know when I've written enough? Tough question. Do you feel that you've "proven" your point or argued convincingly? Do you have enough evidence? Did you explain your evidence - how does it show what you state it demonstrates?

How should we start off the paper? See assignment handout for basic thesis statement ideas.

Do we incorporate the quote into the essay or write out thoughts after it? You incorporate parts of the quote into your paper.

Is the rough draft due on turnitin.com? Let's talk about this in class Tuesday. Make sure you bring a copy of your paper to class.

When will the final paper be due? We'll decide on a day in class Tuesday
