EXPECTATIONS:
I expect students to act as their own advocates, to make sure that their education is working for them. This means that if a student has a concern or a question, she or he will talk to me directly before class or after class, or email or call me.'
Students must make appointments to make up work in a timely manner, according to the school policy.

Ask yourself the following questions
1. Do I ask for help when I do not understand a skill or idea?
2. Do I bring all the necessary supplies to class each day?
3. Do I check my work to make sure all the requirements are included?
4. Do I come to class on time?
5. Do I complete and hand in all my homework?
6. Do I have a particular place where I do my homework that is free from distractions?
7. Do I have my cell phone, computer, etc. disturbing my study time?
8. Do I actively listen to what the teacher and other students are saying?
9. Do I keep my notes and materials organized for each class?
10. Do I participate in class discussions?
11. Do I carefully read all the directions before I begin to work?
12. Do I review my tests and assignments in order to learn about my mistakes and how to fix them?
13. Do I study a little bit each night leading up to the test date?
14. Do I take notes during class?
15. Do I take notes on what I have read?
16. Do I have a system to keep track of homework / tests?
17. Do I write down specific information to help recall what the assignment is?
18. Do I use active strategies while I am studying?
